Advocacy Services
Dumfries and Galloway Advocacy Service is funded to deliver services that are:
- Independent and professional;
- Provide individual (one to one) advocacy that is issue focused;
- Provide collective/group advocacy that is issue focused;
- Meet statutory requirements and Scottish Government priorities; and
- Have as a key principle ‘Independence of mind, independence of place and independence of funding’.
We are funded by:
- Health and Social Care
- Holywood Trust
- Patient Rights Act Fund (Scottish Government)
- Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund
We are funded to advocate for the following groups:
- Mental Health
- Adults with Incapacity
- Learning Disability
- Autism
- ADHD
- Adult Support and Protection
- Self-Directed Support
- Young People (18-25 year old)
