World Mental Health Day 2018
Mental health problems can affect anyone at any time but the 10th of October is a great day to start looking after your own well-being. Remember that your mental health is just like your physical health and you need to take care of it.
Mental health problems affect around one in four people in any given year.
They range from common problems, such as depression and anxiety to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
At Dumfries and Galloway Advocacy Service we provide Independent Advocacy for clients subject to the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003. Our objective is to protect the rights of those people with a mental disorder and to speak for those who are unable to speak for themselves.
