Homelessness

1176741_68006109Homelessness can happen to anyone. You may be classed as homeless if you are sleeping on a friend’s sofa, living in a place that is overcrowded, staying in a hostel, living in bad conditions or sleeping on the street. You can get help and advice from www.scotland.shelter.org.uk or from their free advice helpline 0808 800 4444 (also free to six of the main UK mobile networks Virgin, Orange, 3, T-Mobile, Vodafone and O2 charges may apply to other networks). Lines open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Our service is available if you are struggling to be heard or if you need help to find more information and to make an informed choice. Our advocates will help you to talk to services and take control of your circumstances, understand and make decisions about what is happening in your life.

“I can’t praise my Advocate enough; they proved invaluable throughout my complaint. It was so nice to have someone finally listen to my concerns and my Advocate explained all my options.”
